Hello, my name is Narmin Parpia.

I am a mom to two wonderful boys who are growing up too fast for me. They are already 14 and 11!

I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering and spent the first few years working at a refinery and then moved to my second career in Information Technology.

Now, I am on to my third career of inventor, momprenuer, author and business woman.

Life is truly a journey and sometimes you never know where you will end up. If you had asked me five years ago - what I

would be doing five years from now - I would have never guessed that I would be doing what I am doing today. Who would have known that I would go from managing e-commerce website development projects for companies like Six Flags and Renault to starting my own business selling a complete line of potty training products for boys - Potty Scotty Products and for girl - Potty Patty Products.

It all started on November 8 th , of 2002. I had gone for a job interview that had not gone well. I came home and was feeling miserable, so I sat down to watch the Dr Phil show. He was doing a show on "How to Get Your Child To..." and one of the segments was on "How to Potty Train Your Child in One Day".

I watched the Dr. Phil's "Potty Train in One Day" segment with excitement because I had successfully potty trained both my children using a similar method from the book "Toilet Training in Less Than a Day" by two psychologists named Nathan H. Azrin, Ph.D. and Richard M. Foxx, Ph.D. At 2-1/2 years old, my oldest son was trained in less than a day. He had about 4 accidents in the next 3 days and that was it. My second child (was 2 yrs and 9 months old) had zero accidents. He went from diapers to "big kid" underwear without any problems.

I started thinking about those "good old days" and then remembered the little hurdles I had to go through to have the success I did. I remembered that my biggest challenge was to get all the supplies together - especially finding a doll that drinks and wets. I eventually found a girl drink and wet doll (never did find an anatomically correct boy doll!), but what about doll underwear or the "big kid" pants for the doll? The doll I had purchased was not wearing any underwear, so I had to sew up some "big kid" potty training pants for the doll!!

This got me thinking about putting together a complete solution for all those busy moms who would love to use this method, but did not have the time to pull all the supplies together, let alone stitch little doll potty training pants.

I decided to put my engineering background to work and it took me a little over a year to design and develop the Potty Scotty™ and Potty Patty® potty training dolls. They are drink and wet-on-demand™ dolls that are specially designed to potty train™ (Patent Pending) using the Potty Train in One Day technique.

I also designed the potty training dolls to be able to pee in any potty or toilet. Since this method is about modeling behavior, I wanted Potty Scotty and Potty Patty to model the going potty behavior in the exact same potty or toilet that the child would use.

Also, since 90% of the time, it is the mom that is teaching her son to potty train, I designed Potty Scotty to be anatomically correct and for him to be able to pee standing up or sitting down.

The doll's clothes are also specially designed; the dolls come wearing a 2 piece outfit, a diaper underneath the clothes and 3 "big kid" doll potty training pants. On the "Big Day", (the day of the potty train in one day), ceremoniously, both the child and the doll give up diapers forever and both change into their "big kid" underwear. Both the child and the doll can now be in the perfect potty training attire - tee shirts and potty training pants!!

Once the dolls were done, my next challenge was to identify all the items a mom would need to be able to Potty Train in One Day. I made a list, and then based on discussions and input from with many experienced mothers, The Complete "Potty Train in One Day" Program for Boys or Girls was born.
